I’m super excited to take part in this year’s Festival of Fame – a Joburg Theatre-led feast of productions aimed at the school going audience.
It’s underway from 6 until 11 March and I look forward to a newer, fresher retelling of The Dark Ages to young audiences. Let’s go!
Meanwhile, I was privileged to see my good friend Sne Dladla star in One Night In Miami – a beautiful theatre piece running at the Market Theatre as part of the US Embassy’s Black History Month initiative.

The piece brings together seminal figures in America’s civil rights and cultural movement and Sne masterfully brings soul icon Sam Cooke to life in this thoughtful piece. As ever, his comic flair elevated portions of the play and director James Ngcobo did well to give Sne’s musical abilities the space to thrive. Make sure to check it out if you’re in Joburg this month!
I’ll keep you in the loop on other developments.
Stay tuned…
