In the space of a few years, he has worked closely with South Africa’s comedy and theatre trailblazers and continues to catch the eye with a thrilling blend of stand-up and acting.

His debut stand-up comedy show The Dark Ages played to full houses and won a Standard Bank Encore Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival in 2016. Throughout 2016, he worked with the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Thuthuka Bursary Fund as well as the Tsebo Bursary Fund to produce shows that raised vast sums for deserving students.

As an events MC, his clients include Standard Bank, Roche Pharmaceuticals, AfroCentric Health, Rhodes University and the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre.

Tyson is a founding member of Nat(urally) Caf(feinated) – an improvised comedy troupe at Rhodes University. As an actor, he consistently displays broad range and his skill set encompasses intricate vocal work as well as applied theatre.
